Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Giulia Paciello graduated in Biomedical Engineering in 2009. She joined the EDA Group as research assistant from 2009 to 2013 and then as Phd student in Computer and Control Engineering. She works in the bioinformatics field and her research interests mainly focus on the development of software tools and ad hoc pipelines for the analysis of Next Generation Sequencing data. The aim is to determine chromosomal aberrations potentially correlated to the pathology onset, development and prognosis. These aberrations include gene fusions, intron retentions, miRNAs abnormal expressions, BCR and TCR pathological clonalities. She has also been involved in molecular dynamic simulations studies of biological molecules such as RNAs and proteins. She currently collaborates with different national and international partners.
