 Luca Barbierato graduated in Telecommunication Engineering in 2013. During his studies, he visited the University of Seville and the Department of Image Processing and 3D Innovations of the HHI Fraunhofer in Berlin. He was a collaborator of SWARM Joint Open Lab of Telecom Italia at Politecnico di Torino. He was involved in the research activities of FP7 INTrEPID Project, focusing on the development of novel technologies for the energy optimization in residential buildings, and improved mechanisms of interaction between other buildings, local producers and electricity distributors. In February 2016 he joined the Department of Computer and Control Engineering at Politecnico di Torino as a Research Assistant.His main research interests are Energy Efficiency and Smart Cities with particular attention to the design of IoT platforms for energy metering and energy efficiency control strategies.
